"Thinking outside the box"

Why Modular ?

Modular instrumentation has seen steady growth, outgrowing the traditional "box" instrumentation over the past decade, and the test and measurement market as a whole. Still, the traditional instrument market remains about ten times the size of the open system modular market, largely defined by PXI, VXI and the emerging AXIe standard. This is about to change dramatically.

Properly designed, modular instruments can deliver more speed, more flexibility, and smaller size, all with a lower cost of test than their traditional box counterparts. The accelerated adoption rate by end users coupled with increased investments from equipment vendors delivering innovative solutions will drive open modular systems to become the primary architecture of automated test systems of the future. Modular Methods exists to help users, system integrators, and equipment vendors achieve success as the industry goes through this disruptive transition.
